This certificate prepares a student with the basic skills to enter a position in industry as an Information Technology Technician. The skills to be gained with this certificate include familiarity with the two most popular desktop computer operating systems as well as with hands-on experience with the associated hardware.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

1. Analyze and evaluate computer systems, user requirements, and organizational environments to identify and define technical problems.
2. Design practical, feasible, and efficient IT solutions that address identified needs using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
3. Implement, configure, and verify the proposed solution by installing hardware/software, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring proper system functionality.
4. Communicate, document, and demonstrate the solution by explaining design decisions, system operation, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
